maybe it's just cutural differences and sure, the united states is lot more succesful than my country and maybe i'm also not really good at sales, but requiring everyone to be a salesman still feels pretty dystopian to me.

I think there's a big difference between being a "salesperson" and "selling", fwiw.

I hate sales. But if I want my team to update our financial reporting, I have to understand what info needs to appear, identify the missing link in the existing reports, understand the pain that's causing, & be able to present a new financial report as the solution. Suddenly, I love sales lol. Right? Because I'm not door knocking to sell vacuums or annuities. I'm just solving a problem for my team.

At the end of the day, we're all salespeople. I know it's a broad reaching statement, but that's what we're doing! Also, coffee is for closers.
